Sunday’s card share…Remembering Mom….

Hi All,

And a blessed Sunday to you all.  After my much loved Mother-in-laws recent death my dear friend Cheryl  gave me the following card and I thought today would be an appropriate day to share it with you all.

Isn’t it gorgeous?  Unfortunately it’s a little hard to see the gold sheen from the embossing of the text and the faux metal embossed medallion.  And the inside is just as lovely with the use of the new Scallop Trim corner punch and of course the heart felt sentiments both stamped and written.  Thanks Cheryl.  Your friendship has been a balm to my heart and soul during a difficult time.

Cheryl knows how much I love the swirly vintage type DSP so she dipped into her stash of retired pieces and found the perfect match.   The stamp sets Three Little Words, Medallion, Baroque Motifs provided a beautiful synthesis of form and function.   Beautiful textures throughout from the textured Cardstock to the faux metal element and embossed text to the lacey punch.   And did you notice the border element?  Cheryl used the new Scallop Trim Border punch on two seperate colors of cardstock and then overlapped them slightly for an interesting layered look made even prettier by the strip of DSP layered underneath so it peeks out through the scallops adding another element of color and texture.

And here’s Mom…the lovely lady this beautiful card was made to commemorate.   Thanks again Cheryl.

Hug the ones you love and greet all who cross your path with a smile you never know the effect such love will have or the lives it will change.

Hugs and blessings for you all my friends – Jean
