Free stamp set* Elizabeth sparkles during Sale-a-Bration

Hi All,

For some reason I’m seeing red today – lol!  😀

Must be all the Riding Hood Red touches in this project!   Couldn’t possibly be the late night prep session for Saturday’s event right?

Today you get to see two variations so you can check out the versatility and layering possibilities of our Stampin’ Up punches.   Click on the pictures for a close up and pay special attention to the layering of the ovals.  Don’t the punches  give the Elizabeth image a somewhat different look?  Though I don’t have a sample showing it, it is also possible to use a stamp a ma jig and stamp directly into Elizabeth’s own oval (see stamp image further down to see the oval).

Today’s clean and simple Elizabeth card was a hit at a recent Stamp a Stack event.   What’s not to like about a free stamp right?    Not to mention the simplicity of this card making complete sets a breeze to complete and a shot of shimmer spray to give it sparkle.  Of course its also easy to substitute the colors and papers in your own Stampin’ Up stash.  All in all a fun and frugal card.

*Free you say?   Yep…during Sale-a-Bration (promotion ends March 31st) a $50 purchase can earn you this lovely single stamp for free.   Only one of many possible free stamps or stamp sets.  For more information download the mini in my left hand sidebar or drop me a note.    And don’t wait too long…March 31st is only a short 5 days away!

In the interest of full disclosure I should  mention that my starting point for this design can be found here : in Laura Luenberger’s lovely Bliss card (also from SAB).

From there I changed the colors, the stamps, added punches and a touch of shimmer.  So what did I copy you ask…well the layer with Cherry Cobbler changed to Riding Hood Red (though Cherry Cobbler would also look wonderful) and the idea of a flourished focal image with First Edition SDSP scallopped borders.  The rest was a design created in consultation with my lovely Upline Cheryl.  I love having a friend to bounce ideas off of and keep me from going too  far over the top.    Looking for some help with your own projects?  Feel free to give me a call or drop me a note.  I love collaborating or constructively critiquing design ideas.

Hugs and blessings – Jean
