Thanks to you! – Stampin’ Up! Haitian Relief efforts pay off!

Hi All,

A last note about the Haiti Disaster Relief effort sponsored by Stampin’ Up! from SU files.

The Challenge:

Haitian Disaster Relief

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. As a Stampin′ Up! demonstrator, you can help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this earthquake by purchasing, and more importantly selling, the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.

(note: this set was sold in the USA other sets were sold in other countries for the same goal)

Once again, Stampin′ Up! demonstrators have shown what Stampin′ Up! is all about by making a difference in the lives of others. Worldwide, demonstrators sold 13,587 of the stamp sets that were set aside for Haitian relief. From each of those sales, Stampin′ Up! will donate $2 to the Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. That’s over $27,000 donated to people who desperately need your help. Congratulations!

Thank you all for your efforts!

Of course thanks are due primarily to our customers worldwide who purchased all those stamp sets.  A true Win/Win situation.   A wonderful stamp set was obtained to play with and dollars were donated to the American Red Cross Haiti relief effort.

Stampin’ Up! also put together 5,000 hygiene kits for delivery directly to Haitians in need.  To see details and pictures of this additional effort check out Shelli’s blog post –

I have to say I’m very proud to be affiliated with such a caring company.   With several past disasters worldwide and at home Stampin’ Up! and their demonstrators have stepped up to the plate to help.    Whether through sales promotions or  providing helping hands and caring hearts each one has tried to live up to our company goal to Inspire, Create and Share.  And trust me when I say that applies to more than stamping!   Crafters in general I’ve found have open and caring hearts and this recent push to donate proves it to a T!

Thanks to you all…

Hugs and blessings – Jean
