What $5.50 will get you…in paper words!

Hi All,

As an occasional writer with an interest in words …

When a fellow demo asked the question on our Stampin’ Up! demo website -What words can you spell using the letters from the Many Thanks Sizzlit?  I just had to sit down with pencil and paper.  Here’s what I came up with.  Turns out $5.50 (the cost of the die) will get you quite a range of paper words to work with.

Figuring that you can cut and use more than one letter in any given word and that of course you can add an s (I leave it to you to figure out which words will benefit from that :D) to many of these to increase your word count and with some like sos you might want periods that a small punch or a marker can provide here’s the list I came up with :

After later glancing at a Scrabble dictionary to see what I might have missed I found a bunch more but since they aren’t words any one uses in everyday life I decided not to add them – LoL!  After all presumably my fellow demo was asking in order to use them on a card.  Hmmm….maybe I’ll have to rethink my list….after all would you really put “snot” on the front of a card?

Not a bad set of words from one little $5.50 die.

And if for another $5.50  you decided to also purchase the joyful Sizzlit you could increase the number of words (including quite a few Spanish ones) considerably all in a similar type style.  Amazing what a j, f, l, will get you.

Seriously though….

tip #1: Cut your letters out in an assortment of colors and plain or patterned paper so you can make colorful words and sentences with your paper letters.  You can also add some dazzling diamonds, shimmer paint or other embellishments to make them stand out.

tip #2:  If you line your letters up crooked and offset the fact that you have only lower case will become a fun and funky thing.  Besides rigid order isn’t nearly always as fun!  You could even create a circle of words with an image in the center.

Let me know if you found some words I missed and I’ll add them to the list.

Next game is to string these words in fun sentences.  Leave a comment with your funniest if you dare!

Hugs and blessings my friends – Jean
