Welcome to Tightwad Tuesday where you will find links and ideas for stamping on a budget! Check the sidebar for a downloadable list of the more than 151 stamp sets and wheels that fall into this Under $20 category and for the Under $20 holiday mini sets as well.
Today’s featured stamp is another one of the new low priced single stamps – Dasher.
Dasher ( # 116816, $8.95, pg. 208) Image size approx: 2-1/4″ tall x 1-5/8″ wide
Suggestion from Stampin Up about this stamp:
When you only have room for one of the reindeer, Dasher’s your man! Stamp him once for a simple card, or multiple times to make up Santa’s famous team.
Another fun thing I’ve seen done with this stamp is inking up just the antlers to use as a general flourish stamp. A few people have even bought a second Dasher stamp so they could separate the antlers from the reindeer body and then mounted each image individually on each side of the block. Thus getting a cute deer on one side and a fun flourish on the other! At this price why not buy two and practice your surgery skills on the second!
Tip: Add a redbrad, or rhinestone or small punched circle to the tip of the nose to make your generic reindeer a Rudolph the red nosed reindeer!
Edited to Add: Oops I forgot to mention that our wheel Santa’s Lineup will also work with this Dasher image:
Also available in this same design is a Level 2 Hostess award (available free with order of $300 or more) from the Decor Elements line. Size for this image is 17-5/8″ x 13″.

For those of you that are demo’s and putting together your Holiday Stamp a Stacks you might consider including this stamp as part of the package and basing one or two designs around it. Great size for tags as well as cards and can be kept simple or glammed up with embossing, glitter and/or the new shimmer paints.
Keeping it a bit short tonight as I put this together. I spent 8 hours at Cheryl’s today playing! Lots to share from that session in the next few days. Lots and lots of fun Big Shot experiments and a few quickie projects. Until next time….
Hugs and Blessings my friends – Jean
