Tightwad Tuesday joins Frugal Friday in Budget Stamping

Hi All,

As the title of this post says, Tightwad Tuesday is going to join Frugal Friday in presenting budget stamping options.   Specifically for the next little while I will be featuring on Tuesdays another set of Under $20 stamps with a selection of links for your inspiration.   With over 150 stamps under $20 it’s going to take a while to work our way through the list!

For those of you interested in seeing the full list of  stamps under $20 you can go hereto download a PDF copy of your own.  Or here  for an Excel version.  Of course for a fuller list you can Google the name of the set and add the words Stampin Up for pages and pages of inspiration.

 Bella's Bloom

Today’s featured set is Bella’s Bloom ( #111600,  $12.95).  Introduced in Spring of 2008 this  set of 4 stamps ( two images and two texts) provides accents and texts that coordinate with many of our other sets from the Nature stamp category or that work alone for  sweet and simple projects.

The main blossom also fits well inside our Designer Label Hodgepodge Hardware and has been used by many to create a beautiful bookmark and even a necklace made using the Hodgepodge Hardware!

 Bella's Border

This weeks selection Bella’s Bloom also has a
matching wheel – Bella’s Border (# 112476, $6.50) – the two combined are still under $20 (just barely :D) and can be used together for a modified baroque style.    This particular wheel is a favorite of mine as it reminds me of Colonial designs I grew up seeing in Williamsburg and other Living Historical areas of the East Coast.  You can also use this to create wonderful borders for matting of pictures in frames or in scrapbooking focal images.  I’ve been thinking of creating a rectangular framed image with this wheel used to create the matting frame and then my Big Shot to cut out the letters for Merry Christmas.   Perfect for understated Holiday decorating.

Tightwad Tip:  For visual impact ribbon tabs have an elegant look and can make use of short scraps of ribbon.  For a wonderful example click here.
Don’t forget to return for another installment of budget stamping on Frugal Friday.    If you have a set you would like to see featured or a tip you would like to share feel free to email me.    And of course if you would like to order any sets featured you can email me or call to place your order.
Hugs and blessings – Jean

  1. Hi Jean,
I just arrived at your blog via your answer to my art supply pocket dilemma on the SU! demo website. I have admired you from a far through your answers there and decided I must take a look here :). What a treat! You are such a fascinating, eclectic woman! Thank you for being so witty and congenial and sharing that with all of us. The warmth of your personality radiates through your blog. If ever you are in Pittsburgh (home of the Steelers 🙂 ), please drop by for a cup of tea – iced if it’s hot weather 😉 – and some conversation.
